The "Britannia" can just be seen to the left of the arch legs.
The "York Castle" is directly above the chair, right, and the
"Victoria " is to the right of the right leg of the arch.

That site says the image is taken looking towards the town centre.
I disagree; I think it's taken looking away from the town centre, and towards Plungington Road.

Preston, for the sum of £2,240.
On 1st June 1897, the Trustees of the Will of Henry Cardwell (Deceased)

brewer in Westmoreland.
