NELSON'S MONUMENT
278 (later 74) Ribbleton Lane
*
Along with the Lord Nelson, this pub was a
celebration of our naval history. This one
survived until about 1907.
At the 1872 Brester Sessions the licence for
this beer-house was granted on the condition
that they had another storey added to the
building. At the 1873 Sessions it was reported
that the work was being done at that time.
