Joseph Swarbrick was born in Preston on 20th February 1851, a son of Joseph and
Elizabeth [Moulding] Swarbrick and before taking over the "New Harbour Inn" he had
worked as a joiner. He had married Mary Agnes Swarbrick - to whom he was not
related - in 1880; the couple did not have any children. By the time of the 1901
census he was back working as a joiner. Notes contributed by Dave Swarbrick [no relation] - Thank you.
