LICENCE TRANSFER
Mr. Smith made an application to the magistrates at Preston Borough Police Court on Wednesday, for the transfer of the licence of the Victoria and Albert Hotel, Brougham Street, Preston, to Henry Hothersall.
It was stated that the applicant had practically been in the trade all his life, but three years ago he was fined £20 for allowing betting on his licensed premises.
Mr. Smith said that his client was sorry, and that if he was given another chance he thought he would do his utmost to keep the house in a regular and orderly manner.
The Bench, after having warned the applicant, granted the application.
