later 70 Fylde Road

Looking south east towards St. Peter's Church from the junction of Fylde Road and Greenbank Street. Victoria Street leads off to the left. Slightly left of centre (behind the motor vehicle), is a glimpse of the Moss Rose P.H. at the corner of Atherton Street.
Note the 'Iron Duke' gentlemans urinal in the right foreground, once a familiar sight in Preston.
Just off camera to the left is the Greenbank Tavern P.H.

My Dad & Mum Stan & Edith Collinson where the last landlord & landlady, of the moss rose inn they were there 1950-1958, when they left it ceased being a pub. Cosgrove's taxis rented it until it was knocked down.
ReplyDeleteI had lots god times living there with mum&dad and my brother Barry.
When i was older I made the Greenbank Tavern my local pub for years happy memories.
Thanks for that CCLad. Page amended accordingly.
