MARSH LANE TAVERN #
1 Marsh Lane

Little is known about this tavern, other than it might be
synonymous with the
"PEDESTRIAN ARMS"
- of which, equally little is known -

I have come across an instance (see below) where the landlord was prosecuted for selling drink during prohibited hours.
The address given on that occasion was 1, Bridge Lane.
HOWEVER: there have been many instances where Bridge Lane and Marsh Lane have been alternately used, and there's little doubt that this place is also synonymous with:
The Flyboat Tavern, and
The Tacklers' Arms.
SELLING BEER DURING PROHIBITED HOURS.
William Kenny, landlord of the Marsh Lane Tavern, was charged with selling beer during prohibited hours.
Mr. Edelston conducted the prosecution.
PC. Watson stated that he was on duty in Marsh Lane about a quarter to five o'clock on the morning of the 27th ult. He visited the defendant's house, and found six men in a parlour, drinking ale. He told Kenny he would report him, to which he replied they were lodgers.
The defendant said five of the men were lodgers, but the sixth was not.
This being his first offence, he was mulcted in a fine of 5s and costs.
