CUMBERLAND HOUSE, New Street

CUMBERLAND HOUSE
3 New Street
*
The WHITE BULL in New Street acquired this
name for some reason in the 1850's.
*
MINE HOSTS:
1851                John Smith
1860                Christopher Wadsworth
*
See WHITE BULL, at the same address.
John Smith is shown as the landlord there in 1851, and C. Wadsworth is
shown as Christopher Wadsworth in the 1861 Census.
*
Preston Chronicle  7th August 1858
Christopher may have been here at the
time of this incident. See also, the Church
Tavern, Patten Street, and the White Bull,
