DUKE OF KENT, Brunswick Place

DUKE OF KENT
Brunswick Place
*
MINE HOST:
1846     James Crispin Morris
*
During a period when there were a number of robberies
in the North Road area, "On Wednesday night last,
the window shutters of the "DUKE OF KENT"
Brunswick Place, were forced open with a crow-bar,
and the house entered."
*
It's possible that there was a beerhouse at the end of
Brunswick Street (now Rye Street) where it met
Egbert Street, which was called the 'D of K' ?
