Quite an imposing entrance.

The cottages, marked in blue, belonged to the Spread Eagle Hotel,
and included in a sale of the hotel.

I have a belief that the Market Tavern was owned by the owners of the Spread Eagle Hotel.

  1. Just wanted to thank you for the great pics. I am 61, my friend Gordon Thompson is 82 and he went to the Spread Eagle pub when he lived in PReston, for many years. Stopped there on the way to the dances he said. So he really enjoyed seeing these great pics! Thanks again! :)
