St Annes Road is to my memory St Annes Street - we used to live in the shop at the top right at the junction with Charnock Street
ReplyDeleteAccording to my A - Z of Preston, and the Post Office website, it's 'road'. It was originally called Clover Street, and the pub was called the "Clover Street Tavern". I'll check what's on the road sign next time I'm in the area.
