Samuel Astley was my great great grandfather and I have found a few pubs he and the family ran (including Queen Adelaide Beer house) . His wife was Eliza Jones and John Asltey (my great great great Grandfather) was also the publican here at the Fruiters a few prior to Samuel.
ReplyDeleteMy great grandfather Joseph Duckworth bought it for£604 in 1924 and it became Duckworths pram shop
