CHEETHAM ARMS INN, 126 London Road
Edward Pearson was the applicant for a Public House licence.
The applicant had sacrificed a great amount of money in the
restoration of the place; the licence had been granted before, and it
had been voluntarily surrendered. The neighbourhood was a thickly
populated one. There was no public house between the Cheetham
Arms and the King's Arms, beyond Walton Bridge. Plans were
produced, and it was stated that the house was a very large and
commodious one internally, and was highly adapted for the
purpose mentioned. The rateable value of the house was £22.
