STANLEY VAULTS   #
11 or 13 Stanley Street
*
Also known as the "STANLEY STREET TAVERN" (1871)

MINE HOSTS:

Thomas Faith, who died in August 1838, was listed as a retailer of beer at 13 Stanley Street in both the 1832 electoral roll and the 1834 Pigot's Directory of Preston. He died at a Stanley Street address in 1838 and was buried on 21 Aug 1838 in St Wilfrid's Cemetery in Preston. His widow Mary lived in Stanley Street at the time of the 1841 census, and up until her death in Jan 1866, but it doesn't appear that she had any involvement in the pub after her husband's death.     This information from Glenn Swarbrick, formerly of the Lancashire Record Office.  Many thanks
