PUBLICAN KILLED THRO' FALLING DOWN STAIRS
On Wednesday evening, John Rushton, of the
STOCKWELL TAVERN, Brook Street, fell
down the stairs in his own house, and received
a cut on the back of his head. He was picked up,
and his wound was dressed by his wife and a man
named William Parker. He was afterwards taken
into the bar parlour, and laid on a form, where he
was found dead at 6.30am on the following morning.
An inquest will be held tomorrow night at 7 o'clock.
