NAMING A STREET
Yesterday, Messrs Joseph Harrison & Son of
Galligreaves Mill, named a new street, which
they have recently erected, "Havelock Street,"
in honour of the brave General Havelock.
Preston Chronicle 14th November 1857
Pers. Comment: I wonder what the General would have
said about naming a beerhouse after him?
He was a strict tee-totaller!!
