      I'm beginning to wonder whether the premises were still a pub in 1944 - 1960.
      I've got evidence from 1930 and 1933 that the place was closed and sold as domestic residence property. Can you confirm this one way or the other, please.

    Eddy Gannon was Lily Elizabeth's Son-in-Law. Lily (my Grandma)occupied the property along with many Family members in post WWII period. I lived there as an infant, moving to Leyland at age 4 1/2 (1955). I have vague memories only but my parents tell me the property was condemmed in the early 50's. Dad, now deceased, told me of having to plug the gaps in the upper floor brickwork with newspaper to keep the cold out. We visited for several years and it was around 1960 (+/-) that Grandma moved out. The property was demolished to make way for Towers of Flats which became urban slums. The only photo I have is of me in mum's arms in the back door aged about a few weeks.
