LINNET  SINGING
On Saturday last, ten linnet fanciers entered for a prize
offered by Mr. Luke Leak, of Byron Street, in this
town, consisting of a fandsomely silvered copper
barrel, mounted. The singing was very poor, owing
chiefly to the unfavourable state of the weather.
Mr. Barwise was the owner of the successful bird.
